Intake terms that protect the shop
Indicative terms you see on serious intake forms — adapt them to your own operation (this is not legal advice):
- Storage period after the "ready" notification, and what happens after
- Data responsibility: backups before hand-over
- Diagnosis fee if the repair is not approved
- Pre-existing damage as recorded in the photos
- Repair warranty: what it covers and for how long
The device’s condition, with evidence
"It was already cracked" is not won with words. In Workflow Repair you scan a QR with any phone, photograph the device at intake, and the photos attach to the ticket — timestamped. Same at hand-over.
The customer signs on screen, and the intake form prints or gets sent — with your terms on it.
From intake into the bench flow
The intake form is not a separate paper to be filed — it is the start of the repair. From there: technician assignment, diagnosis, a quote with online approval, parts, the charge, the receipt. No retyping at any step.
